Here at Ryno Lawn Care, we are happy to provide lawn care services to the city of Coppell, Texas.
In 1980, a local engineer named Gearoge A. Coppell brought the railroad to the city. Fittingly, they then named the city after him.
In 1974, the DFW airport opened for business. At that point, the city of Coppell grew rapidly because of its proximity to the airport. The city now has more than 42,000 residents.
We use a high-quality, dependable sod provider because they offer the widest variety of grass types.
It’s definitely worth mentioning that we never have any problem with weed or pest infestation when using this excellent sod.

Bermuda is a warm-season turfgrass that can withstand extreme heat and drought conditions. It also recovers quickly from foot traffic. Mow and fertilize on a regular basis.
This turfgrass is used residentially, as well as on golf courses and athletic fields. While Bermuda is one of the most common grass types grown in Texas; it is important to note that it is not shade-tolerant.
St. Augustine is another popular warm-season grass. Differing from Bermuda grass, St. Augustine is highly tolerant of shade, some cultivars are more tolerant than others.
One big advantage to having St. Augustine grass is that this turfgrass is very drought-resistant. That is a huge plus, no matter where you live in Texas.
This turfgrass has deep roots which allow it to establish quickly.
The third type of turf we offer is Zoysia grass. Zoysia is often choosen for residential lawns because it is shade, drought, and cold tolerant.
It is well-known for being a versatile grass, as well as being easy-to-maintain. Zoysia turf has been used in the Olympics and during the World Cup in Korea because of its softness.
Before sod of any type is installed, you will need to prep for sod installation.
Water well every few days for 1-3 weeks. You want the soil moist, but not flooded.
Once the sod has established its roots, you may water less frequently and mow for the first time.
Try to lift up a corner of the sod. If you feel resistance, the roots have rooted. If you can pick it up easily, with no resistance, the roots haven’t fully developed.
After the sod has been installed for about 1 month, the grass will be ready to be fertilized for the first time.
Minimize foot traffic for 2-3 weeks after installation.
